Billing Department
Some services are not covered by Manitoba Health. These are called uninsured services and are billed to either the patient directly or a third party interest.
Uninsured services billing varies by each doctor’s office. They will let you know if there is a fee when an uninsured service is requested by you. If you have any questions regarding an invoice you receive, please contact your doctor’s office directly. Contact information is available in Our Doctors section.
Some of the more common uninsured services that may be billed directly to patients are:
- Doctor’s Note
- Driver’s Medical Report
- Examination and Report for Employment Purposes
- Examination and Immunizations for Education/Employment/Travel Purposes
- Pregnancy Leave
- Sick Note
Manitoba has agreements with all Canadian provinces (except Quebec) to allow physicians to bill your provincial health plan. You must present your provincial health care card to the receptionist upon your arrival or your visit will be considered an uninsured service. Quebec patients are billed directly. A receipt will be issued for patients billed direct so that they can seek reimbursement from their home province.

Your doctor may wish to order x-rays to help identify medical problems. We welcome all patients needing x-rays; requisitions from all doctors are accepted!
Your x-ray results will be forwarded to your doctor within 3 business days.

X-Ray Technologist - David Bradley
EKG Department
An EKG is a tracing of the electrical activity of the heart.
A requisition from your doctor is required to have EKG testing.
All test results are interpreted by a cardiologist and reports are returned to your physician.
